Service provider
ALEA Space is operated by Sofia Alexandra Lopes Barata, an independent professional, Portuguese tax number 233759069, with professional address at Rua Luís Cajão no. 4, ground floor left, 3080-502 Figueira da Foz, Portugal. Contact: hello@aleaspace.com.
Service
ALEA Space is a platform for schedules, bookings, availability, clients, confirmations, waiting lists and intelligent slot filling, intended for businesses and professionals acting in the course of their activity.
Private clients
A private client may create a free account to view and manage bookings on participating business pages. This registration is not a paid ALEA subscription. The booked service and its conditions remain the responsibility of the selected business or professional.
Complaints and disputes
The Portuguese Electronic Complaints Book is available. Where a direct consumer relationship is legally covered, the Consumer Dispute Arbitration Centre for the Coimbra Region may also be contacted, without prejudice to any other competent body.
The European Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is therefore not linked here.
Terms and conditions
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern subscriptions to and use of ALEA Space. By creating a professional account, starting a trial or selecting a paid plan, the subscriber accepts them and confirms that it acts for business or professional purposes.
2. Account types
Platform administrator accounts manage ALEA. Business and professional accounts manage business operations. Client accounts are free and provide access to participating booking pages. Users must provide accurate information, secure their credentials and report unauthorised access.
3. Free trial
The trial lasts 7 days and requires a valid card. Before it starts, ALEA displays the selected plan, price, applicable VAT, billing period and first charge date. Unless cancelled before that date, the trial automatically converts into the selected paid subscription.
4. Pricing, invoicing and renewal
Prices are in euros and VAT is added at the legally applicable rate. Monthly, six-month and annual plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. A payment provider processes payments. The legally required invoice or invoice-receipt is issued separately.
5. Cancellation and refunds
The subscriber may cancel renewal at any time before the next charge. Access remains available until the end of the paid term. No pro-rata refund or credit is provided for partly used periods, including six-month and annual plans, except where the law requires otherwise.
6. Acceptable use
The subscriber is responsible for its schedule, content, service prices, cancellation rules, communications and lawful collection of data. ALEA must not be used unlawfully, to bypass security, disrupt the service or store clinical notes, diagnoses, injuries or other special-category personal data.
7. Bookings, payments and no-shows
Flex Booking, Auto Fill, confirmations and suggestions support decisions but do not guarantee a filled slot, client attendance or financial result. Bookings, service payments, cancellations and refunds between a business and its client are governed by that business. ALEA supplies technology and does not provide the booked service.
8. Minors
Bookings for minors must be created and managed by a responsible adult. ALEA is not intended for autonomous accounts by children under 13. Subscribers must collect only the minimum data and obtain required permissions.
9. Availability and changes
ALEA may offer beta functions, improve features and carry out maintenance. We aim for continuity and security but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every external system. Material changes will be notified with reasonable advance notice where possible.
10. Intellectual property
The ALEA brand, interface, software and content belong to the operator or licensors. A subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service during the plan. Subscriber content remains the subscriber's responsibility.
11. Suspension and termination
An account may be suspended for non-payment, security risk, unlawful use or serious breach. Where reasonable, an opportunity to remedy will be given. At termination, the subscriber must export required data within the period made available.
12. Liability and law
Each party is liable for direct loss it causes as required by law. ALEA is not liable for subscriber business decisions, inaccurate user data, services delivered by businesses, events outside reasonable control or indirect loss. Liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected. Portuguese law applies and the parties will first seek a good-faith solution before using the competent Portuguese courts.
Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Who processes data
For ALEA account, billing, security, support and direct communication data, the controller is Sofia Alexandra Lopes Barata, reachable at hello@aleaspace.com. For client data used to manage bookings, the selected business or professional is normally the controller and ALEA acts as processor.
2. Data and purposes
We may process identity and contact data, protected credentials, business and role information, language settings, subscription and billing data, schedules, bookings, confirmations, cancellations, availability, communications, technical logs, security and support records. ALEA does not request clinical or health data.
3. Legal bases
- Contract: accounts, platform access, subscriptions, bookings and support.
- Legal obligation: invoicing, accounting, authority requests and rights handling.
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, error diagnosis, service improvement and legal claims.
- Consent: optional marketing and non-essential technologies, if introduced.
4. Providers and transfers
Hosting, email, support, monitoring, security and payment providers may process necessary data. Full card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by ALEA. An up-to-date processor list is available on request. Transfers outside the EEA use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, with additional measures where needed.
5. Retention
Data is retained while the account is active and for periods needed to provide the service, meet tax duties, resolve disputes and protect security. Booking data follows the instructions and settings of the responsible business. It is then deleted or anonymised unless the law requires retention.
6. Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. Contact hello@aleaspace.com. Booking requests may be forwarded to the responsible business. You may complain to the Portuguese National Data Protection Commission.
7. Minors, communication and security
A responsible adult must provide and manage a minor's data. ALEA limits collection to booking needs and does not target minors with marketing. Operational emails are necessary; optional news or promotions will use a separate choice and simple opt-out. Proportionate technical and organisational security measures are applied, and legally reportable incidents will be handled accordingly.
Cookie policy

Necessary technologies
ALEA uses cookies and local storage strictly required for sessions, authentication, security, fraud prevention, technical preferences and application operation. Blocking them may prevent signed-in features from working.
Optional technologies
At the date of this policy, the public page does not use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. If optional technologies are introduced, they will remain disabled until an informed choice is made and consent controls will be provided.
External services
Public pages may load typefaces from Google Fonts. This creates a technical connection to the provider and may transmit IP address and browser information. ALEA does not use it to build its own advertising profiles.
Browser controls
You can delete or block cookies in browser settings, although required cookies are needed for authenticated areas.
Subscriber data processing
Data processing summary — last updated: 5 September 2026
When a business uses ALEA to manage client data, that business is controller and ALEA is processor under Article 28 GDPR.
Subject and duration
Processing supports accounts, schedules, bookings, availability, confirmations, waiting lists, communications and reports during the subscription and the technical period needed to return or delete data.
Instructions, security and support
ALEA processes data only on documented instructions, these terms and applicable law. Authorised people are bound by confidentiality and limited access. Appropriate access, credential protection, logging, backup and incident controls are used. ALEA provides reasonable assistance with data subject requests, assessments and notifications and informs the subscriber of a breach without undue delay.
Subprocessors and termination
The subscriber authorises necessary hosting, communications, support, monitoring and payment providers subject to equivalent safeguards. Material changes may be notified, allowing a reasoned objection. At termination, data is returned, exported, deleted or anonymised according to available options and legal periods. Business clients may request an executable signed agreement at hello@aleaspace.com.
